Remove wheel and brake caliper before working on suspension.

Secure brake caliper with wire so as not to strain brake hose.

• ♦ Loadbearing and suspension elements are not to be welded and straightened.
• ♦ Only re-install clean bearings; bearings are not to be rinsed out.
• ♦ Take care when adjusting wheel bearing clearance.

Detach grease cap from its seat by tapping gently on claw.

• ♦ Always replace damaged (dented) grease caps.
• ♦ Damaged (dented) grease caps allow ingress of moisture. Use is therefore always to be made of the special tool shown.

Note:

It must be possible to move thrust washer by applying finger pressure to a screwdriver without levering action.

• • Secure with slotted ring and new split pin.
